Vauxhall Mokka
Brings with it a generous list of standard equipment compared to the Juke. In terms of models and trims, there is the Exclusiv, Tech Line and SE. With Exclusiv being the standard model, the Tech Line comes with sat nav on top of the standard and SE model comes with leather heated sport front seat, rear seat centre armrest with drinks holders, electrically heated steering wheel, dark-tinted rear windows, 18″ alloy wheel among other things.
However, even the standard trim has plenty going for it. It has Switchable Electronic Stability Programme, Traction Control, Descent Control System, Hill Start Assist, ABS, Airbags (front driver and passenger, front seat side impact and full size curtain), air conditiong, CD/MP3 with Aux in socket and DMB Digital radio with steering wheel mounted controls.

Final Thoughts
The Juke does stand out between the two owing to its quirky and one of a kind funky look with those huge head lamps and shoulders. While the Mokka has a ‘safer’, more conventional look. In fact it looks more like a small version of the Antara, Vauxhall’s 7 seater SUV. Juke on the other hand, looks nothing like any of Nissan’s bigger SUVs.
Both cars have 6 speed manual gear box, 2X or 4X wheel drive options, fuel efficiency reaching 70.6 mpg on the combined cycle, good acceleration and produces very low emissions as well as cheap to tax (EURO5 and Road Tax Band D).
While it may cost a little more to start with, the Mokka does have an edge in terms of kit as it has more to offer as standard with the entry level Exclusiv trim compared to Juke’s Visia.
But with all things considered, it is really down to the looks at the end of the day. Are you the risk taking type or play it safe kind of person?
