Personally I pour the descaling product into the empty device, add the recommended amount of boiling water I leave this solution for the time stated, usually about 10 minutes and then add more water, up to the minimum mark and then dispense the water as normal. Otherwise the descaling solution is not strong enough to remove the limescale

Hi Katrina, thank you for your recommendation. It does seem like a long process having to run through an entire content of the tank through the boiler so your suggestion is a good one. Do vary the water level above and up to the maximum mark based on personal preference and hardness of water for best result.

Hi. Can you please tell me what the small red light means, next to the green light in front of rocker switch.

Hi Sid, if you are referring to VonShef Hot Water Dispenser, we can see what you mean by the small red light. The Smart technology prevents water from being dispensed accidentally. This could be a warning that the rocker switch is now in the ON position. If I am not mistaken, you press the rocker switch to ON position then press down the On (green light) button to dispense water. You can then press the rocker switch to OFF position to stop it. Do let us know if you learn more about the mysterious red light, we could not find the manual anywhere.
