A premium HotCup from Breville, the VKT111 has a metallic finish, cup selector for variable dispensing and cancel button as well as a huge 2 litre capacity. Like the smaller 1.7 litre VKT111 featured earlier, this model also comes with an adjustable and removable drip tray and a convenient water level window in front of the unit. The unit also illuminates in cool white when boiling. Definitely one to go for if you are after something with style, however the shiny metallic finish is just plastic.
However, it does mean that you cannot lift up the unit easily and cannot refill its water tank at the kitchen sink. Use the hinged lid on the top of the unit near the back to refill the water tank using a separate jug. The variable dispenser lets you set between 1 to 9 different cup sizes so that at a push of a button, you get the right amount of water depending on your mug size. Don’t worry if you got the wrong setting, simply push to pour again and manually stop it with a second button when full.
