Pancakes in a Perfect Pan – pans specially designed for pancakes
In much of the Christian world, pancakes are made to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. Traditionally as a reason to make use of all remaining flour and sugar, just before the season of Lent.
Of course while pancake flipping is not strictly an essential skill or pre-requisite to the yummiest pancake, having just the right type of pan, makes flipping possible and even easy!

The Le Creuset crepe pan is a beautiful way to make crepes, and other sweet or savoury recipe pancakes. It retains heat longer given it is cast iron and will not react to acidic food. The enamelled cast iron surface provides even heating to ensure that the crepe or pancake cooks thoroughly and evenly. A traditional wooden batter spreader is also included to help make better crepes. As with all Le Creuset Cast Iron cookware, the phenolic knobs and handles are oven safe to 450°F/232°C, not that you need to would need to put the crepe pan in the oven.

Tefal Just Brownie Crêpière Pan, 34 cm (13.4-inch) – BIGGER
The Tefal Just Brownie comes in several sizes from small 25cm to the biggest 34 cm. It has a durable non stick coating with the pan made from aluminium and has an insulated handle. Not suitable for induction hob.
