      Hi Stacy,

Thank you for your message, we are assuming you have an Android smartwatch and Bluetooth is enabled and Airplane mode is switched off.

On your J7, connect to PlayStore and download Android Wear app.

Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone, then start the Android Wear app. Use the steps in app to connect your phone.

When you choose you Android watch in the list of available devices to pair, a pairing code may appear either on the phone or watch. Follow the onscreen instruction to complete pairing.

      Good Luck

Thank you for the very helpful article, without it I would never have been able to figure out the differences in this crazy J series. I did discover, however, that the 2016 J710 only has 3GB of RAM in the Chinese versions. All other versions have only 2GB of RAM for some reason. For this reason I will be going with the 2016 J510 as it is about $50 cheaper and also has 2GB of RAM.

Hi! I just want to ask if you know the specifications in their respective audio quality? Like which ones have the best sound quality? I’m planning to buy either a J5 or J7 but I’m hesitating cause I’m an avid music listener and I just want the best for me! Thanks!

Hi Reichelle, neither have stereo speakers and they both come with standard sound chip via the headset. I would be inclined to say that they are relatively comparable in terms of sound, so perhaps you may base your choice on some of the other features, namely display size. However, a good pair of headphones may help improve the listening experience. Hope this helps.

Hi Ravidu, It would really depend on what your requirements and budget are. Of course, the highest spec is typically the one loaded with the best features, but perhaps the j7 may be rather on the large size if you were considering a standard size phone.
The j7 max has extra memory compared to the standard j7.

My mother just bought a j7 core. So far, the performance of the phone is impressive. Nice AMOLED display makes everything look vivid. We’ll see in the coming weeks how if this phone can sustain this kind of performance. It’s really nice to have an affordable and good performing phone from samsung.

PS im really close in pushing myself to buy one too. What do you think? Is j7 core fine than other j series phones?

      Hi Joshua,

I agree with you that the Super AMOLED display is certainly more impressive and makes the colours pop… Personally, I would prefer the J7 Pro. It’s that bit more up-to-date in terms of design with near zero side bezels, 2.5D glass and metal body. It is powered by an Octa-Core processor clocking in at 1.6GHz, the fastest in the J series, offers plenty of memory and storage at 3GB and 32GB respectively. Don’t forget that the J7 also has a sharper display at Full HD with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution.

After a day of normal use, I noticed that the phone works perfect but does not drain as much battery juice as other phones with the same specs. The phone is still at 68% after 1 day. 🙂

I am considering buying a J series samsung phone for its affordability but the main thing am looking for in a new phone is the quality of the camera as am planning on capturing some moments for a project. What would be your advice: will the J5 or a J7 serve this purpose.

Hi, the camera quality holds up well on it’s own, and should be perfectly fine for typical every day shots, in daylight. The camera may struggle in low-light conditions and if it is for a photography-based project, then you probably need a dedicated camera for the project.

I now have a Samsung Galaxy S3. Can the sim card by transferred as is; or needs to he trimmed or even compatiable? Can 4GE be used along with WiFi. Data (pictures, contacts etc transferred via Google acct and sim card)?

Hi Janet, it appears that the S3 has a mini-sim while the J-series uses the micro-sim. You would probably just need to get it swapped by your mobile service provider. Typically yes 4G can work along with WiFi but not simultaneously. If your pictures, contacts etc are stored on Google, then this will be auto-populated, once you sign up to the services on your new phone.
