Sony Xperia X series continues after XZ Premium with XZs and XA1
Post launch of Sony’s Xperia XZ Premium, the series gets two more new smartphones, the XZs and XA1. The XZs is a smaller alternative to XZ Premium with a 5.2-inch Full HD display while the XA1 is an mid range device with 5-inch HD display.
The key differentiator of the devices is in their optical capabilities. The XZs is capable of capturing Super Slow Motion video while the best camera in its class with a 23MP sensor. What do you get with the new X series devices.
Pushing Sony’s Camera Prowess on the Xperia X series
XZs uses the Sony alpha and Cyber-shot camera technology with a new Motion Eye camera system. It offers 5 time faster image scanning and data transfer using a memory stacked Elmore RS sensor.
That and the wealth of camera features, like Super Slow Motion recording capability at 960 fps, Predictive Capture for image recording even before you hit the shutter and the 19 MP sensor with 19% larger pixels that capture more lights and combining additional improvements using the Bionz processing engine for superb low light performance. It is said that the camera is able to capture what the eyes cannot see and you get a second chance at picking from 4 photos before your actual shot.
The phone is available in Ice Blue, Warm Silver and Black.

In the optics department, the XA1 comes with a whooping 23MP high resolution camera that features Exmore RS mobile sensor. The F2.0 lens hits you up with superb low light capabilities. For selfies or even wefies, the front 8MP shooter has a 24mm wide-angle f2.0 lens.

Wrapped in a metallic unibody construction, it shares many design traits with its premium counterpart. While it has a moderate 5-inch HD display by today’s standard, it makes for great viewing powered by the MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor and is sufficient for gaming or video streaming at 720p. And, if 5-inch is not big enough, there is always XA1 Ultra with a huge 6-inch Full HD display.
